I cannot see my own forms

If you have opened your forms dashboard and could not view forms owned by yourself that were previously available on your account, The issue is likely to be that you have entered a search item in your search bar, therefore only the searched form will be displayed.

To go back to viewing all your forms, clear out the search item and reload the dashboard.

After reloading, all your forms will be displayed.

I cannot access shared forms.

1. Issue accessing the form the your website's forms dashboard

If the form is being accessed from the web app, then most likely the issue is that you are trying to access the form from the wrong account. In many cases, an organization might have shared the form with your organizational email, whereas you are trying to access the form from your magpi account registered under your personal email. If you suspect that this might be the case, consult the shared form's owner/formAdmin and find out which of your email addresses the form was shared with, then make sure you are logged in to the same account.

2. Issue accessing the form the Mobile app

i). Correct roles/privileges are assigned ( Affects both Android and iOS mobile Apps)

If the form is being accessed from the mobile app and is missing from your form's list: Confirm that the form is NOT shared with DataManager privileges. This privilege excludes the 'mobile data collection role' , therefore will not allow you to view or add data from the mobile app.If this is the case, have the formAdmin change the role to a data collector to allow form access from the mobile app.

ii). Troubleshoot Connectivity issues:

It is important that you check that you are connected to a strong internet connection.

  • If you are using mobile data, ensure that you have mobile data bundle is sufficient.
  • Check that you have a strong Wifi signal

You can test your internet connection by searching an item in your phone browser. If it is slow, then this might cause slowness in fetching your forms or failure to load at all. If this is the case, keep retrying or switch to an alternative connection (i.e Wifi over mobile data or a Telco/sim card with a stronger signal in your region).

iii). Unsupported features:

Here are a few features that are not available in the iOS platforms:

  • The image question type
  • Subform and sublist question types
  • Cascade questions type.

If you are considering using any of these questions in your survey, then it is best to work from the Android platform.

Please note that we are working on a cross platform app where all features will be available in all platforms.
